Aboriginal Spirituality and Human Rights Values

As the indigenous community in Australia, the Aborigines also have religious concepts that lead to the respect for human dignity. The basic concept of the close relationship between past, present and future times of human beings lives which has been the root belief under the Aboriginal life has consequently brought the responsibility for the every Aborigine to value their own and others’ lives. The fact that there is an inseparable link between religious and social lives within their communities also underpins their effort to live the values in their interaction to each other.

This paper will explore about the basic philosophical concepts in the Aboriginal spirituality which are important and playing a major role in their economical, social, cultural, and political lives. Then, it will discuss about the existence of human rights values or principles within those concepts.
